Yakima SightLine Towers are part of Yakima's new StreamLine Series product line and utilize Yakima's unique, adaptive inner and outer clip design to assure a secure, streamline fit. A pre-calibrated torque driver is included with all StreamLine Series Towers to assure the exact tightness level during installation. Yakima SightClips are vehicle specific to provide the perfect fit. Please select your vehicle from our Vehicle Fit Selector to determine the correct Yakima components for your vehicle. With the addition of 4 Yakima SKS Lock Cores, the Yakima SightLine Rack may be locked to your flush railings (sold separately).

Overly complicated and fragile

I had a Yakima rack from 1995 that lasted 20 years, was easy to take on and off, had no removable parts to lose, and was tough. This thing seems way more fragile between the tower and crossbar connection, is difficult to adjust, comes in multiple pieces that rattle after install, and has plastic snap-on end caps and covers on the bars and towers that are 100% guaranteed to break and fall off. Go check out brands in person before buying so you know what your paying for; this thing isn’t cheap, which makes me question its bang for the buck.

I’m getting this four stars only because the directions were so poor

I’m getting this four stars only because the directions were so poor. They said to identify a convex and concave side, but there is no such thing! I read the directions many times and watched several YouTube over and over. Why couldn’t the directions have said to put the side with the measurements on top! That would be so simple and so direct.
