The Yakima RibCage (8001051) transforms your Jeep Wrangler JK 4dr hardtop into a high-capacity gear-carrying powerhouse. This robust track system, featuring an internal support structure that attaches to the roll cage for maximum lateral stability, allows you to confidently transport rooftop tents, recovery gear platforms, and more. With off-road rated load capacities of up to 330lbs dynamic (3 crossbars), 220lbs dynamic (2 crossbars), and 825lbs static, the RibCage is designed for serious adventure. The 48" HD track sections enable flexible crossbar spacing for 2 or 3 bar setups or LockNLoad platforms (sold separately). Freedom panels remain removable during use, and the system easily disconnects for complete hardtop removal. The minimal internal support footprint ensures no intrusion on passenger or cargo space. To complete your setup, explore these compatible Yakima configurations (sold separately) : LockNLoad Platform B, SkyLine Towers, Landing Pad 26 & 2 sets of LockNLoad SL Adapters, Track Towers & Yakima crossbars, SkyLine Towers, Landing Pad 26 & Yakima crossbars. HD SL Bar Adapter or RoundBar SL Adapter Kit may be needed depending on the type of crossbars. T-slot end caps facilitate easy hardware installation. "My husband needed to buy a new roof rack for a truck he recently purchased and was told to get a System One brand that makes the racks from aluminium (so it doesnt rust). So I went searching online and originally went to System One's website to see if I could buy it direct from them, but I couldnt, so I found rackwarehouse.com who did sell them. Initially I was hesitant to buy something like this online since we had a bad experience with the 1st roof rack we bought 10 years ago from an online dealer, but it was impossible to find this thing in a bricks and mortar shop so we were kinda stuck buying online. So kind of reluctantly we went ahead and made the $$$$ dollar purchase with rackwarehouse, just praying we didnt get ripped off or have it arrive 6 months late and in hot pink or something. Not only did the rack arrive in 24 HOURS, but the following morning after I placed the order, a kind man phoned me to let me know we ordered the wrong sized rack for the truck we had (they ask you for the truck make and model when you buy it to make sure you get the right one) He said we bought the wrong size which was for a compact truck and that the correct size was about 9 bucks more. So he sent me the invoice, I paid within the hour, and then he shipped it THAT DAY and it arrived THE NEXT DAY. Bam! Perfect! I was so grateful he phoned up and he was soooooooooooooooooo nice! Really kind person and said this happens all the time. So dont forget to leave your vehicle details during checkout when prompted! I highly recommend this company.
