A service body is not a pickup bed, and a rack built for bed rails will not sit on one. These racks mount to the tops of the side compartments, spreading the load across the body rather than clamping to a rail that is not there. That changes the measurements you need: body length, compartment top width, and whether you have a standard or an extended cab behind it.
Most of these bodies live on a work truck that is out every day, so the choice is usually aluminum for weight and corrosion resistance against steel for cost and abuse tolerance. Capacity runs to 1,250 pounds on the heavy-duty aluminum racks.
