Description
The Yakima 78" Rack and Roll Trailer provides a practical solution for carrying large or awkward outdoor gear that won’t fit easily on a roof rack. Designed to handle kayaks, canoes, bicycles, cargo boxes, and more, this personal gear trailer frees up roof and interior vehicle space while offering superior accessibility for loading and unloading.
Built from lightweight anodized aluminum, the 78" wide trailer balances durability with easy handling. Its fit is optimized for vehicles with a Class I or stronger hitch receiver (1.25" or 2" ball), making it compatible with many passenger vehicles and SUVs. The 250 lb load capacity (upgradable to 350 lbs with optional shocks) covers most small watercraft and sport equipment. Adjustable 78" Yakima RoundBars accommodate various gear sizes without frame contact, reducing risk of damage.
Storage and convenience are standout features: the wheels and tongue detach in seconds with a built-in keyed lock system, allowing the trailer frame to be stored upright in a garage or hung on a wall. The lightweight frame includes a carrying handle so the trailer doubles as a hand cart when not hitched. Oversized 16" alloy wheels with sealed bearings and heavy-duty suspension deliver stable handling on the road.
Security is integrated via keyed locks that protect the wheels from theft while giving peace of mind during transport. Safety is also addressed with DOT-approved LED lighting, high-clearance design, and a chain locking link. The Yakima 78" Rack and Roll Trailer is engineered for durability, practicality, and ease-of-use, making it an ideal choice for outdoor enthusiasts who need a reliable trailer for a variety of bulky gear.

"Absolutely Fantastic customer service!!!"
"My husband needed to buy a new roof rack for a truck he recently purchased and was told to get a System One brand that makes the racks from aluminium (so it doesnt rust). So I went searching online and originally went to System One's website to see if I could buy it direct from them, but I couldnt, so I found rackwarehouse.com who did sell them. Initially I was hesitant to buy something like this online since we had a bad experience with the 1st roof rack we bought 10 years ago from an online dealer, but it was impossible to find this thing in a bricks and mortar shop so we were kinda stuck buying online. So kind of reluctantly we went ahead and made the $$$$ dollar purchase with rackwarehouse, just praying we didnt get ripped off or have it arrive 6 months late and in hot pink or something. Well to my surprise, we had THE BEST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS WEBSITE! Not only did the rack arrive in 24 HOURS, but the following morning after I placed the order, a kind man phoned me to let me know we ordered the wrong sized rack for the truck we had (they ask you for the truck make and model when you buy it to make sure you get the right one) He said we bought the wrong size which was for a compact truck and that the correct size was about 9 bucks more. So he sent me the invoice, I paid within the hour, and then he shipped it THAT DAY and it arrived THE NEXT DAY. Bam! Perfect! I was so grateful he phoned up and he was soooooooooooooooooo nice! Really kind person and said this happens all the time. So dont forget to leave your vehicle details during checkout when prompted! I highly recommend this company. They are based in VT and have A+ service. The ladder rack was perfect as well. If we ever need anything rack related we will be going to this website from now on forever more. Thanks guys!!"
