Description
The Thule Helium Platform is an aluminum platform style hitch mounted bicycle carrier. Lighter than most other platform bike racks, the Helium Platform's burly construction, ease of use, and secure design makes it extremely appealing. The no-frame-contact wheel loop compression design holds your bike by the tires and avoids any bike frame contact. Ratcheting wheel loops quickly and firmly hold your bike in the rack. The Helium Platform XT transports a wide range of bikes with up to 50" frames, up to 45lbs per bike, with wheel sizes ranging from 26" to 29," and tires up to 3" wide. The Helium Platform XT's integrated locking cable locks your bike to the rack. The SnugTite Stinger tightening and locking knob locks the bike rack to your vehicle. The Helium Platform HitchSwitch Lever allows the rack to tilt down for easy access to the rear of your vehicle, and fold up for compact storage or minimal vehicle length while installed. The Thule Helium Platform is compatible with both 1.25" and 2" trailer hitch receivers - out of the box.
