Description
The VersaHaul Auto Moto Carrier (sku VH-AM) offers a convenient solution for transporting your motorcycle or other small vehicles. Designed to fit any Class III or IV hitch, this carrier features reversible rails and a durable powder coat finish. It easily stores away when not in use and ships boxed via UPS (approx 244 lbs). The carrier boasts a maximum load capacity of 600 lbs, distributed with a maximum of 500 lbs per rail. The carrier rail measures 71 inches in length and 6.5 inches in width, with an actual flat-tire width of 4.72 inches. The distance from the hitch pin to the center of the rail is 29 inches. The VH-AM includes an anti-tilt lock bracket, a 44-inch main tube, two standard wheel stops, one extended wheel stop, four retractable tie-down bars, three ramps, and two reflectors. While the carrier can handle 600 lbs, it's crucial to consider your hitch rating (most Class III hitches are rated for 500 lbs, and most Class IV hitches are rated for 1000 lbs) and your vehicle's load-carrying capacity and suspension. Low or recessed hitches may not be compatible, and 1/2-ton trucks may require air helper springs due to the VH-AM's weight. This carrier is heavy and best suited for large trucks and motorhome suspensions.
