Description
The Yakima StepUp Platform Hitch Bike Rack offers a straightforward, adaptable solution for transporting one or two bikes with confidence. It is particularly suited for riders with fat-tire bikes, e-bikes, and bikes that don’t fit traditional frame holders without risking damage. This rack provides a sturdy, no-frame-contact platform that supports a variety of bike types, including those with wide tires and carbon frames.
Designed to fit 2" receiver hitches, the StepUp accommodates most standard vehicle hitch receivers common on SUVs, crossovers, and trucks. The platform design ensures bikes are held securely by the wheels, eliminating frame stress and simplifying loading. With a capacity to carry up to two bikes, the rack supports heavier bikes often found in outdoor or electric biking communities.
Ease of use is a priority with the StepUp rack. Bikes are easier to load onto a platform-style rack compared to upright styles, and the rack folds up flat when not in use to improve access to the rear of the vehicle and reduce storage space. Its tilt-away feature lets you access your vehicle’s rear without removing the bikes.
The rack is built from durable materials, engineered to withstand frequent use and outdoor conditions. It includes integrated locking points for securing both the rack and your bikes, adding peace of mind during travel stops. Its practical design and rugged construction make it a solid choice for riders who need reliable, versatile bike transport with minimal fuss.

"Absolutely Fantastic customer service!!!"
"My husband needed to buy a new roof rack for a truck he recently purchased and was told to get a System One brand that makes the racks from aluminium (so it doesnt rust). So I went searching online and originally went to System One's website to see if I could buy it direct from them, but I couldnt, so I found rackwarehouse.com who did sell them. Initially I was hesitant to buy something like this online since we had a bad experience with the 1st roof rack we bought 10 years ago from an online dealer, but it was impossible to find this thing in a bricks and mortar shop so we were kinda stuck buying online. So kind of reluctantly we went ahead and made the $$$$ dollar purchase with rackwarehouse, just praying we didnt get ripped off or have it arrive 6 months late and in hot pink or something. Well to my surprise, we had THE BEST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS WEBSITE! Not only did the rack arrive in 24 HOURS, but the following morning after I placed the order, a kind man phoned me to let me know we ordered the wrong sized rack for the truck we had (they ask you for the truck make and model when you buy it to make sure you get the right one) He said we bought the wrong size which was for a compact truck and that the correct size was about 9 bucks more. So he sent me the invoice, I paid within the hour, and then he shipped it THAT DAY and it arrived THE NEXT DAY. Bam! Perfect! I was so grateful he phoned up and he was soooooooooooooooooo nice! Really kind person and said this happens all the time. So dont forget to leave your vehicle details during checkout when prompted! I highly recommend this company. They are based in VT and have A+ service. The ladder rack was perfect as well. If we ever need anything rack related we will be going to this website from now on forever more. Thanks guys!!"
